Summer might be winding down, but Edmonton’s music scene is still heating up on stages across the city. Head to your favourite venue and catch one — or all! — of these amazing shows.

Rend | August 12
A four-time Edmonton Music Award nominated band, Rend’s energetic alternative rock sound has brought them on stage with big names in music, like City and Colour, Mother Mother, Royal Tusk, and many more. Head to their show and listen for their newest single with incredible vocals, “Skin & Bones.”

Trevor Finlay | August 17 – 21
This talented Canadian blues rocker has been to Nashville and back. Now he lands in Edmonton, bringing his 2015 album Sandpaper and Bourbon to the Blues on Whyte stage. According to one reviewer of Finlay’s work, “You are either a fan or you haven’t seen him yet.”

The Human Rights | August 18
Upbeat tunes and a high-energy stage presence are guaranteed at this show. A reggae group that draws on jazz, funk, and R&B roots, The Human Rights are a 10-piece Canadian band with a distinctly lively sound.

Toby | August 25 – 28

The Wet Secrets | August 25
This six-piece disco-pop-rock group returns to their home city this month after touring across Canada. The Wet Secrets have been hailed as “the best rock ‘n roll band to ever come out of Edmonton, and one of the best ever from Alberta.”

Son of Dave | September 7
A former member of the Grammy Award-winning folk rock band Crash Test Dummies, Son of Dave’s Benjamin Darvill puts on solo performances brimming with talent and creativity. Echo Nebraska | September 16
