Along with the inviting prospect of spring comes this new compilation by the Edmonton Citie Ballet. Evolution features original performances by two emerging Canadian choreographers and Artistic Director Jorden Morris. One piece reflects on the evolution of creativity through organic, earthly movements, while others will allow dancers to evolve as artists in their own rights. Discover how the human spirit evolves in conjunction with the seasons during Morris’ artistically moving Tierra.
On top of a fantastic evening of dance, Citie Ballet will celebrate the launch of the show with a Fridays En Pointe party! You’ll enjoy tasty treats, including beer from Alley Kat Brewery and delicious donuts from Moonshine Doughnuts. You’ll also be able to picture yourself as a ballerina with a photo booth complete with tutu and tiara props! The party continues after the show down the street at Devaney’s Irish Pub (11113-87 Ave.) for food and drink specials.
