1. Kaleido Family Arts Festival | September 12 – 14
Kaleido is a weekend festival jam-packed with creative activities suitable for all ages, including live music, dance performances, film screenings, plays, shopping, and art displays! And the best part: everything is free to attend! Enjoy the revitalized Alberta Avenue and the best of Edmonton’s arts and culture scene at this family-friendly festival.

EIFF2. Edmonton International Film Festival | September 25 – October 4
Celebrate independent cinema at a string of premiere screenings of international, national, and local short films, documentaries, and full-length features. Need to spice up your lunch? Catch one of the SUBWAY Lunchbox Shorts at Landmark Cinemas 9 in City Centre Mall! Your ticket includes lunch! 3. Edmonton Comic & Entertainment Expo | September 26 – 28
Take in all things pop culture! Confirmed special guests at this exciting convention include Howard (Simon Helburg) and Raj (Kunal Nayyar) from The Big Bang Theory, and Jeremy Shada from Adventure Time. From anime to graphic novels, sci-fi to action heroes, there’s something for every fan at this spectacular comic convention-style show. Guests can explore over 300 vendors and attend workshops, Q&A panels, and industry insider presentations, and get autographs and photos with creators and media guests.

4. Alberta Culture Days | September 26 – 28
Alberta Culture Days showcases everything from visual arts to live music to dance performances to tours of historical attractions — all celebrating Alberta’s history and contemporary cultural diversity! In Edmonton, our historical buildings and neighbourhood streets come alive with working demonstrations by artists and performers, workshops, samples of different cultural foods, and a lively community atmosphere.
