PumpkinsWe all enjoy different types of fun during the Halloween season. Some of us want our pants scared off by a freaky horror film, some may want a cool, family-friendly venue to take the kids for thrilling chills, or some may just want to mow down a pile of candy. Fortunately, in Edmonton, there are several Halloween-themed activities throughout the week to haunt you with the Halloween spirit in whatever way you want!

1. Edmonton Ghost Tours | Through October 31 | 7 pm & 9 pm
For just $10 per soul, you can go on an educational and spooky tour of Edmonton to learn about some of its dark and supernatural history. At 7 pm, meet in front of the Rescuer statue at Walterdale Playhouse for a tour of the Whyte Ave. and Old Strathcona area. Or, at 9 pm, meet in front of Rutherford House for a tour of the University of Alberta and Garneau area. Both have many chilling stories to reveal!

Rutherford House | 11153 Saskatchewan Dr.

2. Halloween Movies at Metro Cinema | Through October 31

So head to the theatre and see a scary flick in the safety of others! Features include A Nightmare on Elm Street, Shaun of the Dead, Ghostbusters, and a triple bill of films on Halloween night! View the website for a complete listings of movies and showtimes.

And if you weren’t scared enough by the house your first time, return on November 2 to try walking through with only one flashlight per group! Please read the warning on the house’s website before visiting, as this event is not for the faint of heart.
