Gregory Hardy is a Canadian painter living in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Exhibiting extensively since 1975, his rich painting career has primarily concentrated on the depiction of prairie landscape. Fleeting weather patterns and the expectation of change are vivid elements in his work, giving a sense of shifting movement to his signature clouds and open vistas. Hardy uses thick paint, sumptuous colour, and gestural brushwork to convey the stark simplicity of the prairie landscape and the drama of its luminous sky.
