Your Local Dining, Arts & Entertainment Magazine

Pitch Guidelines

Published six times per year, Info Edmonton highlights what to see and do in our city, from tried-and-true favourites to hidden local gems. Through both the magazine and the website, we take a closer look at local businesses and communities, including stories, interviews, spotlights, and histories.

Since 1987, our passion for Edmonton has remained steadfast: to promote our city and support the continued growth of our evolving arts and culture scene and our creative and diverse restaurant community. Our belief that “Edmonton’s diversity is its strength” will direct us in our future editorial direction.

Before submitting your pitch, we recommend you read a recent issue of the magazine. We are a local dining, arts, and entertainment magazine. Articles should fit in one of our sections: Arts & Culture, Eat & Drink, Shopping, Attractions, or Beyond Edmonton.

We are looking for diverse perspectives, community ties, family stories, histories and origins, hidden gems, interesting people, etc. There should be a specific angle to your pitch. If you check out the Editorial Calendar in our Media Kit, you can also try to work within a specific issue’s theme.

Queries should include:
– a thoughtful outline of your idea,
– an estimated word count (if written piece),
– a brief description of your background/experience,
– and a couple samples of your work.

We pay all of our freelancers, generally a flat rate based on project length, budget, and expertise.
