All Guts, No Glory Art Exhibit
All Guts, No Glory – a body of most recent and compelling works by Krissya Iraheta, an emerging American-born and Edmonton-based interdisciplinary visual artists – is an exploration of lost innocence and resilience in the darkest of times. Iraheta brings together themes of trauma, religion, sexuality, interiority, and the harsh struggle to suppress vulnerability in order to survive.
Minutiae
Minutiae is a fascinating display of miniature artworks created by 54 artists across Canada. These tiny works are meant to be observed up close and personal, exploring the intricate details and thoughtfully crafted designs. The exhibition includes diverse works, such as aspic salad brooches, miniature pottery studios, and silver candlesticks designed for birthday candles. Each piece showcases the artist's attention to detail and ability to create in the smallest forms. What does minutiae mean to you? Echoes of Thunder
In Chinese culture, the dragon is a mythical shapeshifter whose most common form is a composite of various animals. As a revered protector that remains obscured from human sight, the legend of the dragon is rooted in the sound and rain of thunderstorms and other weather events. Using select objects from the Mactaggart Art Collection, Echoes of Thunder: Unveiling the Mythical Chinese Dragon aims to illustrate the origin of the Chinese dragon and its importance and significance in Chinese culture.

Ebb and Flow
The works in Ebb and Flow are about water in its literal form, the manipulation of water as tool of colonial violence, water as matrilineal connector and water as earth forming geological force and keeper of geologic time.

Prairie Star Deck Exhibit
Edmonton artist AJA Louden shifts his focus from painting to textiles to explore ideas grounded in Afrofuturism that consider the cyclical nature of power, inspired by science fiction and historical paintings. Louden was recently artist in residence at Fern's School of Craft where he turned his attention to creating large scale tapestries rich with his signature imagery. In his new work, Louden examines the roles of craft in Black communities and the history of craft in rural Alberta in particular.
