Laser Halloween Spooktacular
When: October 30–31
Where: TELUS World of Science—Edmonton
About: Get into the Halloween spirit with this ghoulish laser show in the Zeidler Dome. The musical lineup includes “Ghostbusters,” “Thriller,” and “Monster Mash.”

Halloween Adventure at Galaxyland
When: October 31
Where: Galaxyland in West Edmonton Mall
About: Celebrate Halloween with adventurous rides and roaming Galaxyland in your spooky costumes. Delightful treats include cotton candy, candy apples, and pumpkin spice mini doughnuts! Don’t forget to stop by the photobooth to catch every spooky memory.

Halloween Scavenger Hunt
When: October 31
Where: Edmonton Ski Club
About: This free event with the Edmonton Ski Club and Cloverdale Community includes a scavenger hint, pre-packaged candy, decorations, and prizes. All activities begina and end outdoors on the heated patio at the Edmonton Ski Club. Note: This event is sold out, but there is a waitlist you can sign up for.

Haunted Hike‘s Not-So-Scary Hours
When: Saturdays & Sundays 2 pm–5 pm throughout October
Where: Vegreville
About: A walkthrough of 18 amazingly detailed rooms with no actors. The best haunted house experience for kids! And in addition, they’ve partnered up with the Vegreville Corn Maze so you can have a fun family-friendly day.

Halloween at RAM | Oct 31
Come to the Royal Alberta Museum for family-friendly Halloween activities! Wearing costumes is encouraged, and all activities are included in the price of admission. Grab a (sanitized) flashlight to venture into the roundhouse for the Flashlight Expedition, catch the Bug Encounters in the lobby, and solve riddles during the photo scavenger hunt. Bonus: if you complete the scavenger hunt, you get 10% off at the Museum Shop!

A Very Bootanical Halloween | Oct 30-Nov 1
There’s something spooky going on at the University of Alberta Botanical Gardens this Halloween… and it’s fun for the whole family! The U of A offers a safe and fun way to kickstart this weekend’s festivities with the “It’s Alive” scavenger hunt and outdoor activities perfect for all ages. Plus, you can grab their shareable treat box to get a head start on that Halloween sugar rush!

About: Come to one of the Top 20 Most Haunted Places in Alberta for spooky stories, ghost hunting, and a metaphysical demonstration.

Halloween Films

Where: Metro Cinema
About: One of the best ways to get your Halloween-chill fix is to take in a scary movie, but some movies are too frightening to take in alone at home. So head to the theatre and see a scary flick in the safety of others! Features include Dracula (1931), What We Do in the Shadows, Memories of Murder, and more leading up to Halloween night. DARK
When: Through October 31
Where: Fort Edmonton Park
About: This year’s DARK brings a mixture of on-site events and accessible, virtual programming available throughout the month of October. Although Paranormal Investigations and Dark Mixology are sold out, tickets are still available for the Haunts of the Selkirk virtual quest and The ‘Raveyard virtual Halloween bash.

The Haunted Hike
When: Through November 1
Where: Vegreville
About: Alberta’s most terrifying haunted house takes place in a giant indoor warehouse with new and improved rooms. Timed ticket sales only.

Deadmonton Haunted House
When: Through November 2
Where: 7031 Gateway Blvd.
About: Face your darkest fears at one of the creepiest experiences in Edmonton. Tickets provide access to both haunted houses. Area 51 is the main haunt inside the warehouse, and the new cemetery haunt, Dusk is outdoors.

Edmonton Ghost Tours

Where: Old Strathcona
