Edmonton International Fringe Festival: August 15 – 25 This festival is truly defining of Edmonton as “Festival City!” This phenomenal alternative theatre fest is the largest and oldest of its kind in North America, with over 1,200 shows and performances from over 200 theatre companies from around the world! 3. Core Crew Walking Tour: Through August 23 Get read to walk! Explore hidden gems and get a new perspective on Edmonton on a 90-minute walking tour of the downtown core. The Core Crew will tour you around must-see landmarks and outstanding architecture while explaining downtown’s interesting history — all while pointing out the best spots to shop, dine, relax, and have fun. Tours run Mon, Tue, Wed, and Fri at 1 pm, Thu 2:30 pm; meet at the park on 104 St. and 101 Ave. 10 minutes prior to start time.
