With autumn well underway, it’s time to enjoy a beautiful fall market! These are great places to support local businesses and enjoy the best crafts, art, food, home goods, and more from makers in the community. Edmonton’s got plenty of great fall markets to enjoy—here are some that we’re looking forward to!
1) ACUA Fall Harvest Market | Sept. 18
The Alberta Council for the Ukrainian Arts is hosting their second annual fall market this September! Find homemade goods and art from the ACUA gallery and visiting vendors. You can also purchase delicious Ukrainian food both to take home and to eat onsite. Enjoy live music from local musicians while you shop.
2) Francomarket for Artisans | Starting Sept. 24
This weekly market kicks off September 24th, and runs every Friday to Sunday throughout the fall. Located inside the Bonnie Doon Shopping Centre, this market features everything from beauty and wellness products to antiques. Take in the market atmosphere while enjoying delicious food options.
3) Reynolds-Alberta Metal Art Show and Sale | Oct. 2–3
Hosted by the Reynolds-Alberta Museum, this juried show hosts over 55 vendors selling anything and everything metal, from home goods and jewelry to chain mail and decorative swords! Support local artisans as they show off techniques old and new to create beautiful, one-of-a-kind pieces. You can also enjoy a visit to the museum galleries for a full-day experience.
4) Pop Culture Monster Mash Night Market | Oct. 15
Shop on the wild side with this all-ages, Halloween-themed night market featuring goods from over 30 local artisans and vendors. Find sweets, treats, and gifts perfect for the spooky season! This market takes place right in the heart of the iconic Whyte Avenue at the Old Strathcona Performing Arts Centre. Admission is free.
5) Edmonton Fall Home Show | Oct. 15–17
Get your home ready for the start of the holiday season with hundreds of local vendors and service providers at Edmonton’s biggest home improvement show! See what’s new and hot in the world of interior design and home decoration for everything from quick DIYs to new builds. Get expert advice and quotes from local vendors to help make your dream home a reality. You can even enjoy the market from anywhere with their virtual showroom.
