1) Steve Martin & Martin Short
When: Aug 3
Where: Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium
About: Martin and Short recall their iconic careers, creative influences, and most memorable encounters, uniquely presented through a blend of stand-up, musical numbers, and conversations. Joining them are Grammy Award-winning bluegrass band The Steep Canyon Rangers and jazz pianist Jeff Babko.

2) Heritage Festival
When: Aug 4-6
Where: Hawrelak Park
About: This lively, outdoor festival showcases different cultural and ethnic backgrounds with culinary delicacies, creative performances, shopping for crafts, artwork, and clothing, and the opportunity to talk with people eager to tell you a little about their cultural roots and their present-day communities in Canada.

3) Blueberry Bluegrass & Country Music Festival
When: Aug 3-5
Where: Heritage Park
About: Head west of Edmonton for a celebration of roots music with legendary acts like Ricky Skaggs, and the Po’ Rambing Boys, ukulele workshops, jam sessions, family activities, and the new licensed Blueberry Patio!

4) Hlinka Gretzky Cup
When: Aug 6-11
Where: Rogers Place
About: This event is one of the few best-on-best international hockey tournaments and features the premiere under-18 players from some of the world’s greatest hockey nations. Most recently, the tournament featured Swedish defenceman Rasmus Dahlin, a top-rated NHL prospect going into the 2018 Draft. Come check out the NHL stars of tomorrow!

5) Big Valley Jamboree
When: Aug 2-5
Where: Camrose, AB
About: Put on your cowboy hat and join the crowd for the biggest summer country music extravaganza in Alberta! The jamboree features performances from top country artists, including Thomas Rhett, Alabama, Paul Brandt, Dallas Smith, and Billy Ray Cyrus.

6) Rock & Roll Heaven
When: Through August 19
Where: Jubilations Dinner Theatre
About: As the old saying goes, if there’s a heaven up there, they must have one hell of a band! Come together for the last night of unforgettable music by Michael Jackson, Prince, Janis Joplin, and more.
