This weekend, experience everything from Rock’n’Roll to Reggae, Fringe theatre to Dinner theatre, and participate in or spectate at the annual motorcycle ride to Reynolds Museum.

1. Edmonton Rock Music Festival | Aug 16–17
Check out a roster of some of the best Canadian and American rockstars—such as The Odds, Dextress, and Sloan—who will be gracing the Edmonton Rockfest stage for the first time. The all-weekend event takes place in the lovely Hawrelak Park and offers single day tickets or weekend passes.

2. Edmonton International Reggae Jamboree Festival | Aug 17
“Don’t worry about a thing” at this great music festival. Experience artists such as Luciano, Fanton Mojah, Baby Cham, and many more as they get their groove on in the stunning Louise McKinney Riverfront Park conveniently located downtown. “Let’s get together and feel alright” this summer! Tickets can be bought on Eventbrite, children under 12 are free.

3. Edmonton International Fringe Theatre Festival | Aug 15–25
The Fringe Festival is simply a must-see experience while visiting Edmonton. All week long over 38,000 artists will be performing at various venues, in parks, and on Whyte Ave. Come out and see the best improv/sketch shows, dramas, kids’ shows, magic shows, storytelling, and more! 4. Motorcycle Ride to Reynolds Museum | Aug 17
Are you a big fan of motorcycles and other two-wheeled things? Over 1000 motorcycles of all makes and models will be riding over to the Reynolds Museum for a one-day event celebrating a fantastic display of motorcycle camaraderie. You can test ride new Harley-Davidson bikes and other big brands, listen to live music, and check out the main museum and aviation display hanger.

5. Best of Friends: The Long Lost Episode | Aug 17 through Oct 27
If you are dismayed that Netflix is removing Friends from their streaming service, perhaps you can find some solace in this fantastic theatre production at Jubilations in West Edmonton Mall. The “Long Lost episode” features the greatest hits of the Friends era and is performed by some of Canada’s best singers.

6. 98 Degrees | Aug 17
Check out this boy band, first formed in the early 2000s, who are putting on a show at the River Cree Resort and Casino. Best known for their R&B soulful sound, band members include Nick Lachey, Drew Lachey, Justin Jeffre, and Jeff Timmons.
