1. Freewill Shakespeare Festival | Through July 14
Over the weekend matinees start at 2 pm while the evening shows start at 8pm. This year, on even dates you can see Two Gentlemen of Verona and on odd dates see The Winter’s Tale. Shows run rain or shine!

2. Royal Canadian Family Circus | Through July 7
This is the last weekend to see the Royal Canadian Family Circus! Tickets are $25–$55 and the event takes place at West Edmonton Mall.

3. Whyte Avenue Art Walk | July 5–7
Lace up and take a stroll from 101 St. to 108 St. while checking out the work of 500 of the best Albertan artists.

4. International Street Performers’ Festival | July 5–14
Celebrating 35 years! Be dazzled by various acts—such as jugglers, firestarters (and no we don’t mean arsonists), and contortionists—at the very first week of this free, family-friendly event.

5. Punk in Drublic | July 6
Check out this craft beer and punk rock music festival. Featured bands include NOFX, Bad Religion, Less Than Jake, Chixdiggit, and Last Gang. Tickets are $69.50–$249 with the event taking place at the EXPO Centre and starting at 1 pm.

6. WiSER BBQ | July 7
This Sunday at 11:30 am–1:30 pm is the WiSER (Women in Science, Engineering and Research) Annual BBQ in Emily Murphy Park (Picnic Site #1). This family-friendly event offers a magic-themed party with food, drinks, a photo booth, and crafts—plus an opportunity to socialize with specialists in the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics fields. Tickets are $5 but will be refunded upon arrival.

7. Edmonton Prospects | July 6–7
There are two home games taking place this weekend for Edmonton’s Western Canadian Baseball League team, the Prospects. On Saturday they take on the Okotoks Dawgs at 7 pm, and Sunday is the All-Star game against the Fort McMurray Giants at 4 pm.
