The next time you’re at the West Edmonton Mall, look out onto Deep Sea Adventure Lake and you just might see a brand-new flock! Birds of Paradise, a fleet of paddleboats in the shape of swans and flamingos, opened in December 2021. The space had previously been the home of the Deep Sea Adventure submarines, which closed in 2005. Up to eight paddleboats can be on the lake at once; from the water, you can get great views of the mall and of The Ship. Oh, and be prepared for a leg workout!
Birds of Paradise is located on Level One, Phase III of the West Edmonton Mall. Paddleboat rides last for ten minutes and can hold two adults and one child aged 3-6 per boat. For more information, check out the Birds of Paradise FAQ page.
