Living like the stars do is easy… at least, it is when you can visit the same places that they did when they visited Edmonton!

  • Justin Bieber and on-again-off-again-girlfriend Selena Gomez went for breakfast at Blue Plate Diner when he was here for a concert in October 2012.
  • Billy Bob Thorton, John Malkovitch, and Liam Hemsworth frequented several spots around the city while filming the action movie Cut Bank in summer 2013. Thorton went to Mercer Tavern for drinks after being referred there by a local fan. Malkovitch enjoyed a meal at Corso 32 and browsed the Old Strathcona Antique MallHemsworth got his morning jolt of java from Starbucks (at the Matrix Hotel)and would wind down in the evening at The Common gastropub.
  • Seth Rogen rang in the 2013 new year at On the Rocks, listening to funk/soul band The Boom Booms, while in town visiting friends over the holidays.
  • James Phelps and Oliver Phelps noshed on pub fare at O’Byrnes Irish Pub before heading over to The Buckingham for drinks in November 2013 while in Edmonton to promote Harry Potter: The Exhibition at Telus World of Science — Edmonton.
  • Jessica Biel was out and about shopping on Whyte Ave. in Old Strathcona at boutique stores like Oak + Fort while her husband Justin Timberlake rehearsed for his concerts in January 2014. She recharged with a coffee at Transcend Garneau, and even gave the trendy coffee shop a shout out on Twitter: “Getting hopped up for the show tonight at my favorite Edmonton coffee shop! #transcend”.
  • The Bachelorette contestant Ashley Hebert and her fiancé J.P. Rosenbaum took in a few shows at the annual Fringe Theatre Festival in Old Strathcona when they visited in 2012.
  • Players for the Edmonton Oilers like to hang out at the Cactus Club for dinner and drinks when they’ve got some down time.
