There’s never been a better time to be a dinosaur lover in Edmonton! Walking with Dinosaurs: The Arena Spectacular is on at Rexall Place, and in this thrilling show you can witness life-sized dinosaurs walk, fight, and roar! Designers and scientists worked together to create 20 dinosaurs, including the terrifying Tyrannosaurus rex that takes three people to operate.
We captured some of the action last night, so you can view our pictures below to see how realistic (and sometimes terrifying) these dinosaurs are!
If your dinosaur craving isn’t satisfied with one show, the city has more dinosaur fun to offer! Visit the Discovering Dinosaurs exhibit at Enterprise Square Galleries, which showcases hundreds of never-before-seen fossils, new discoveries, and recent University of Alberta research! The U of A has one of the world’s best dinosaur research programs, led by Dr. Philip Currie, and they’re ready to show off all that they know!
And to complete your dinosaur trifecta, head to the TELUS World of Science—Edmonton to catch Steven Spielberg’s ultimate thrill ride Jurassic Park in 3D. The film will be playing on the IMAX screen, so it will feel as realistic as being back at Walking with Dinosaurs! Visit the website for a complete listing of showtimes.
