This new enchanted drive-thru holiday light experience transforms 115,000 square feet of the gorgeous river valley! And it’s perfect for a family-friendly, socially distant evening—because you never have to leave the comfort and warmth of your own vehicle.

All proceeds from this delightful event go towards supporting the True Start Foundation! Its initiatives, including the Covid-19 Emergency Relief Fund and the Affordable Housing Program, ensure the safety and security of various families. The Winter Wonder Forest runs until January 3, 2021.

What to Expect in the Forest

1) Enjoy the holiday light displays from the comfort and warmth of your vehicle, all while listening to the special Rudolph’s Radio Station. It takes approximately 25–30 minutes to tour the forest when the park is full, dependent on other vehicles. Take pictures, speak to the characters, and take your time to fully enjoy the magic.

2) Also included in your car pass are the changing events on the WWF Activities Calendar! Drive up to Santa (available every night during select times until December 23), visit Santa’s reindeer (on select nights), and check out a live musical performance (on select nights).

3) This event is 100% contact-free, drive-thru event. Come with an empty bladder and a car full of snacks if those will make the experience more joyful for your cohort!

4) The Edmonton Food Bank display in the forest includes a spot to drop off a non-perishable food donation.

What You Can Enjoy Online

5) You can shop online with the Winter Wonder Virtual Vendor Market! Find various artworks from Canadian crafters and artisans and check items off that shopping list.

6) Also on the website? A spot to book a live video chat with Santa! These 5-minute personalized calls allow children to ask questions, share jokes, and more—and you will get a copy of the video call to keep.
