1. Quietus: Last Flight—Wartime Aviation Stories on the Canadian Home Front | April 18
The Alberta Aviation Museum welcomes author Anne Gafiuk for the sixth and final instalment of the 2019 Speaker Series. Three pilots from Alberta will be featured. Light refreshments included.
2. Vikings: Beyond the Legend | Opens April 18
The largest touring exhibition of Viking artifacts in the world is coming to the Royal Alberta Museum! The immersive experience will include jewellery, swords, coins, traditional clothing, and the longest Viking warship ever found.
3. Whale & the Wolf | April 20
Whale and the Wolf’s music spans deep and treacherous ground, making it difficult for them to hide the genuine thrill and enjoyment felt with each live performance. In 2015, the band released their debut EP charting three singles in the Top 40 for Canadian Active Rock.
4. Easter Hoppenings | April 21
Find out what’s Hoppening down at the Muttart Conservatory this Easter! Explore the pyramids and take part in some family-friendly activities. Plant an Easter-themed plant and meet some furry friends.
5. Hop to It! | April 22
It’s an EGG-stravagant Easter event at the Edmonton Valley Zoo! Hands-on science experiments, crafts, airbrushed tattoos, touch tables, and a scavenger hunt that are all egg-related. “Get Closer” with various animal encounters and watch as the resident animals of the zoo go on their very own Easter egg hunts.
