Haunted Pumpkin Patch Harvest | September 30 – October 29

Meet some farm animals, take a hayride, explore a kid-friendly haunted house, solve the corn maze, snap a picture in a 25 acre pumpkin patch: this is just the beginning of all the fun your family can have at Prairie Gardens this season! Packed with events and opportunities for fun, make sure to check out this Bon Accord farm, conveniently located less than an hour from Edmonton.

Get ready for a spine-tingling Halloween with NorthwestFEARfest! Enjoy a range of hair-raising films at Metro Cinema.

Designed with your little ones in mind (ages 3 to 5), join Miss Sabrina and Miss Shay at the St. Albert Family Resource Centre for a fun filled afternoon of games. Free Admission!

Pumpkins After Dark | September 22 – October 31

Get outside and explore over 6,000+ hand-carved pumpkins with this one-of-a-kind experience! Featuring a pathway of lit pumpkins, impressive sculptures, and intricate carving of your favourite Halloween characters, there’s something at this event for everyone.

Boo at the Zoo! | October 21 – 29

Trick-or-treat alongside the animals at Edmonton Valley Zoo this season! This event is a great opportunity to get outside, learn about animal conservation, and watch the Zoo’s nocturnal animals receive their own Halloween treats.

Zeidler Dome’s Halloween Spooktacular | October 30 – 31

TELUS World of Science is hosting a one-of-a-kind laser light and music show in the Zeidler Dome’s Halloween Spooktacular! Enjoy Mozart, Ghostbusters, and more!

Spooky Skate-a-cular Family Fun Skate at Leduc Recreation Centre | October 20

As a part of their Friday Fun Skates series, Leduc Recreation Centre will be offering a special masquerade themed event! Bring your best costume and skate to some spooky tunes.

Norman Foote’s Halloween Howl  | October 23

Join Norman Foote for an evening of storytelling and music for all ages. Enjoy his use of imaginative wordplay and melodic songs. It’s sure to be a hoot!

Thrills & Chills

Halloqween Drag Show | October 28

Featuring performances from the Imperial Sovereign Court for the Wild Rose, join Outloud St. Albert and the Arden Theatre for a night of drag excellence! All proceeds from the show will go to Outloud St. Albert, who offer community and support services to LGBTQ2S+ youth and adults.

DARK | October 6 – 29

Are you afraid of the dark? Head down to Fort Edmonton Park for thrills and chills at this fan-favourite Halloween event. Featuring killer clowns, murderous farmers, and demonic spirits, DARK is definitely not for the faint of heart. You can also check out Dead Centre of Town XIII, a unique live-action thriller featuring some of Edmonton’s forgotten supernatural stories.

Nosferatu | October 31

Head down to The Winspear Centre to experience Nosferatu unlike ever before! Enjoy this 1922 classic silent film while accompanist Dennis James plays the organ. This event is sure to be a wicked treat so don’t miss out on a thrilling and chilling experience!

Deadmonton House | September 29 – November 4

Celebrating 10 years of fear, Deadmonton is an Edmonton Halloween staple! Visit the haunted house at their new location at the iconic Edmonton Sun building. This event also features themed food and drinks, along with some great photo ops.

Alt After Dark Halloween Market | October 27

Back for their fifth year, the Alt After Dark Halloween Market will feature all your favourites: food trucks, live entertainment, and 85 different spooky vendors! There will also be a costume contest, so make sure to wear your best outfit.

Scream – Boodang’s Halloween Massive | October 28

Get your best costume ready, Canada’s longest running Halloween dance party is back! With three stages, this event will feature artists like Illenium, James Hype, and many more. Scream sells out quick, so grab your tickets now!

Refinery: The Last of Us | October 28

AGA’s Refinery is returning with a spooky event this month! Find all the classics of AGA’s late night art party at this event: DJs, specialty cocktails, and access to all levels of the Gallery. With added Halloween elements, like eerie interactive stations, a blacklight dancefloor, and a costume contest, this event is a great way to spice up this Halloween season.

The Dark Eighties Halloween Party @ 9910 | October 28

Dark Eighties dance parties have been selling out across the country so make sure to catch this event at 9910 this Halloween season! Featuring their touring DJ, this event will have you dancing along to 80s hits late into the night.
