1. Just for Laughs Comedy Festival:

This year’s edition of the Just For Laughs Comedy Tour is hosted by Darrin Rose (Mr. D, Video on Trial) and stars headliners Tom Papa (The Marriage Ref), Alonzo Bodden (Last Comic Standing) and Orny Adams (Teen Wolf) along with opening act Ben Seidman. Friday, November 15, More Info: www.jubileeauditorium.com

2. Eddie Izard:

This zany British comedian knows how to captivate an audience with his absurd monologues and comical narratives — he’s the first stand-up comedian to play a solo show at the Hollywood Bowl, and has performed in front of a sold out crowd at Madison Square Garden. In his “Force Majeure” tour, he tackles everything from Darth Vader to chaos theory in his hilarious narrative rants. Here’s one of our favourite videos of his — talkin’ about the Death Star. Friday, November 22, 8 pm. More Info: www.jubileeauditorium.com

3. Die-Nasty Soap Opera Improv: 700th Episode!

An Edmonton comedy institution for over two decades, the Canadian Comedy Award-winning improv comedy soap opera Die-Nasty will reach its 700th Episode on Monday, November 25th, 2013! Running weekly since 1991, Die-Nasty has featured some of Canada’s top improvisors and such diverse settings as 1930’s Hollywood, Ancient Rome, the Middle Ages, Prohibition-era Windy City, and Tennessee Williams New Orleans. This season, Die-Nasty sets its usual mix of love, betrayal, and intrigue against the backdrop of class-conscious Edwardian England, in the tradition of Upstairs, Downstairs and Downton Abbey. Shows are every Monday Night at 7:30pm from Oct. 21, 2013 through May 26, 2014 at the Varscona Theatre (10329 – 83 Ave).
