From summer weather and (safe) backyard gatherings to vaccine rollouts and the upcoming law-change allowing for alcohol consumption in designated Edmonton parks (a pilot project running May 28–Oct 11, 2021!), there are reasons for Edmontonians to celebrate. These spots in Edmonton are offering pre-batched cocktails and take-home drink kits to give a little taste of that YEG mixologist lifestyle—without having to stock your home bar. Take a shot at mixing up some of your faves while continuing to support the Edmonton businesses we know and love.
1) El Beso
Each pre-batched cocktail from El Beso is ready to pour over ice and enjoy, with enough to make three delicious cocktails. If you’re still desiring to mix your own fun, the Beergarita Kit includes a bottle of Classic Margarita and three bottles of Sol beer you can mix at your leisure. The Classic Margarita is available on its own and is made with Cazadores Blanco, and other margarita flavours include Coconut, Guava, Jalapeño, and Watermelon. Pair these drinks with their Picnic in the Park Package, which includes 2 orders of tacos, chips, guac, and one pre-batch margarita of your choice.
2) Glass Monkey Gastropub
Enjoy a slice of summer with Glass Monkey Gastropub’s ‘Take & Shake’ Cocktails To Go, which come pre-made and chilled in a pretty glass jar. Just shake and pour, over ice or straight up. Any of their Signature MonkeyTails or Classic Cocktails are available to order, so you can bring home favourites like the Curious George (made with Mount Gay Rum, Passionfruit Cognac, and Peach Schnapps) or the Banana Colada (made with Malibu Coconut Rim and Creme de Bananes).
3) Lone Pine Distilling
From the fresh to the fruity, the tastes of Lone Pine Distilling’s Cocktail Kit Gift Boxes hit the mark across the board. Every kit comes complete with one of Lone Pine’s quality liquors, ingredients, and a detailed recipe card to help you or a loved one along your path to great homemade cocktails.
4) CRAFT Beer Market
Craft some of the most iconic drinks in pub history with CRAFT Beer Market’s Cocktail Kits. And, you can contribute to those in need along the way! A portion of the proceeds from each Aviation Pack will go towards donations to the Edmonton Food Bank.
DOSC’s Old Fashioned Kit gives the chance to take a shot at crafting this classic: DOSC style. The Old Fashioned Kit features the essentials, with the timeless Basil Hayden bourbon, bittered demerara, and orange. For those that prefer to customize their Old Fashioned experience, DOSC also offers choices from the best of bourbons, ryes, and dealer’s choice add-ons to get the most out of your at-home mixology.
