At 5.3 million square feet, this 48-city-block mega-mall boasts more than 800 stores and services, over 100 restaurants, the world’s largest indoor amusement park, and multiple world-class attractions—including a five-acre indoor waterpark. In fact, not only is this Edmonton landmark Alberta’s biggest tourist attraction, it attracts twice as many visitors per year than Disneyland. Welcome to West Edmonton Mall…

It goes without saying that you’ll find great shopping at WEM, but what might surprise you is Europa Boulevard—an indoor avenue of boutiques, showcasing storefronts clad in Old World architecture and charm. Also unexpected is WEM’s very own Chinatown, featuring a T&T supermarket.

Looking for some sun and family fun? Blue skies, beach chairs, and five acres of activities await you at WEM’s World Waterpark. It’s home to epic waterslides, splash pads, a wave pool, ziplines, hot tubs, private cabanas, a beach-view bar, and more. Not feeling the surf? Go skating at the indoor Ice Palace, play some glow-in-the-dark mini-golf, or head to Ed’s Bowling to knock down some pins and school your kids at some retro arcade games.

Once you’ve worked up an appetite, choose from over 100 restaurants, some of which you’ll find on Bourbon Street—a New Orleans inspired avenue, bustling with greats eats and ambience. For some fun without the kids, head to the Starlight Casino, featuring 120,000 square feet of entertainment, with 32 gaming tables, 768 slots, private salons, and 6 restaurants including Atlas Steakhouse and Halley’s Club—a retro-inspired supper club with a cabaret vibe. If entertainment on the big screen is more your style, Hollywood’s latest blockbusters are waiting for you at the Scotiabank Theatre.

Just when you think it’s home time, think again. The mall’s Fantasyland Hotel is the perfect spot to rest and recharge in an executive suite or fantasy-themed room before waking up to say, “Hello, day two!”
