Whether you’re into theatre, music, science, or tours, there is an option for you this Labour Day long weekend.

1) Parkland County Art Tour
Eight Parkland County art businesses have banded together to create an ongoing art tour through Google Maps. take a rural day-trip and find visual art, sculpture, photography, pottery, slip casting, handmade Alberta items, history, space to take classes, and professionals who have a deep appreciation for rural Alberta arts.

2) Al Fresco on 4th | Sep 5
Bask in the sun from 11AM-4PM every Saturday on 104 Street in the downtown core. They have a mix of retail, market, and food vendors, as well as expanded sidewalk patios.

3) French Quarter Patio Series | Sep 4
The annual French Quarter Patio Series features renowned performers presenting a wide variety of music every Friday evening. La Cité Francophone and Café Bicyclette present the ideal concert setting for both indoor and outdoor concerts with plenty of space for maintaining social distancing guidelines. Tickets are $12/person and you need to purchase in advance as there is limited seating available.

4)  The Science of Ripley’s Believe It or Not! 
The final weekend for this TWOSE feature exhibit! This exhibition at the TELUS World of Science Edmonton presents an extraordinary collection of intriguing objects and astonishing artifacts from Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Marvel at the height of the tallest man that ever lived. See a calf with two faces, a megalodon shark jaw, a Rolls Royce made of matchsticks, a portrait of Einstein made of toast, and more—including the life and legacy of Robert Ripley, the explorer and adventurer!

5) Pitched Perfect Golden Girls
Dinner theatre is back—and the ladies of the Maple Oaks Seniors’ home are ready to take on some college chicks in the upcoming Collegiate Singing Group Competition. Following Alberta Health Services safety guidelines, the cast will be performing to their own recorded vocals. Seating capacity for the theatre is reduced, tables are spaced, and sanitizing stations have been added.
