The Body Shop just launched their newest Workshop store in West Edmonton Mall, which is one of only four in Canada! We got a sneak peek at all the exciting features of this store at their recent launch, including a brand new product testing station, a mural by Edmonton artist Alixandra Jade, and a refill station that features all your favourites.
At its heart, The Body Shop Workshop aims to take the brand back to its activist roots, with hopes of turning the location into a community hub and gathering space. The brand has always been at the cutting edge of sustainability and fair-trade standards and they are continuing to promote these key values by encouraging customers to support crucial activism through community partnerships and care for the environment by using their refill stations. Additionally, the brand projects to be 100% vegan by the end of 2023.
Sounds pretty amazing right? And this is only the tip of the iceberg! They’ve also partnered with Apathy is Boring, a Canadian youth-led organization that encourages young people to be politically active.
