UKRAINIAN CULTURAL HERITAGE VILLAGE
History is brought to life at this living history museum that tells the settlement story of Ukrainian pioneers in Alberta. Costumed role players recreate authentic pioneer, cultural, and agricultural experiences among more than 30 restored buildings. The summer feature exhibit opens May 22 to celebrate Canada’s 150th anniversary. Where We Came From highlights the stories and experiences of Alberta families through the eyes of their youngest generations.
FORT EDMONTON PARK
Time travel is possible! Experience what life was like in Edmonton 100 to 150 years ago at Canada’s largest living history museum. Costumed historical interpreters recreate life as it was at the 1846 Hudson’s Bay Fort and on the evolving streets of Edmonton in 1885, 1905, and 1920.
REYNOLDS-ALBERTA MUSEUM
Located 30 minutes southeast of the Edmonton International Airport, this museum hosts an outstanding collection of vintage vehicles, aircraft, tractors, and industrial machines that pay tribute to mechanical genius. Its opening day is also the first day of its newest exhibit, The McLaughlin Story, which explores how the McLaughlin family shaped Canada’s transportation industry and includes more than 20 beautifully restored McLaughlin vehicles, as well as specially designed collector postcards that the museum will mail on your behalf! Explore the carriage manufacturing side of the exhibit at the Remington Carriage Museum in Cardston, which is open year-round.
SNOW VALLEY AERIAL PARK
Located at the Snow Valley ski hill, Edmonton’s newest outdoor adventure—and the first of its kind in Canada—is here! With over 100 games and challenges, the aerial trekking tower is fun for the whole family. Strap yourself into a harness and get ready to test your balance—and nerve—on a ski bridge, snowboard balance bridge, picnic table, bicycle, coal car, travel trailer, and a few surprises.

JURASSIC FOREST
Opened for the season on April 13!
Walk among life-size, startlingly realistic dinosaurs in this 40-acre prehistoric park. Visitors can enjoy guided safaris, observe the dinosaurs in action in their habitats, dig for ancient remains, and explore 2 km of discovery trails through an old-growth forest. And it’s open seven days a week, including holiday Mondays!
UNIVERSITY OF ALBERTA BOTANIC GARDEN
Opened for the season on May 1!
Formally the Devonian Botanic Garden, the gardens received a name change this year to better reflect its history with and importance to the university. With 240 acres of flora and fauna to explore, the gardens have something for visitors of all ages. Stroll through the indoor greenhouses, butterfly house, outdoor displays of annuals and perennials, Kurimoto Japanese Garden, and more.
