If the best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear, then you’ll find plenty of cheer at Festival Place as Elf: The Musical takes to the stage!

Based on the 2003 holiday classic, Elf: The Musical follows Buddy, a human raised by the elves of Santa Claus’ North Pole Workshop. When he learns the truth of his upbringing, he heads to New York City to connect with his real father—whom he discovers is on Santa’s naughty list. To make matters worse, his half-brother doesn’t even believe in Santa at all! Can Buddy find his true identity, connect with his family, and save Christmas?

Back for their 18th holiday season, the Festival Players are largely made up of semi-professional and amateur actors from Sherwood Park, Edmonton, and surrounding communities. The show features a full cast of 30 along with a 15-piece orchestra for the full musical experience.

Elf: The Musical runs from Dec. 11–28 at Festival Place in Sherwood Park.
