This is an expansion of our original article, Celebrate Valentine’s Day in Edmonton (2021). Here are some special take-home Valentine’s menus offered by various Edmonton restaurants.
1) Under the High Wheel’s Valentine’s XOX Box
Order deadline: Requires 24-hours notice
Details: This charcuterie box includes an assortment of cheeses, meats, crackers, dips, seasonal fruit, nuts, fresh bread, homemade truffles, chocolate-covered strawberries, and more. Available in two sizes: XOX Box for 2 or Self-Love Box for 1. Add-ons include a locally handmade charcuterie board (to keep!) and wine. Modifiers are available for vegan and gluten-free options.
2) Craft Beer Market’s Virtual Brewmaster’s Dinner
Order deadline: Feb 13
Pickup: Feb 14, from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm.
Details: Brewmaster kits include four courses paired with complementing beer. Menu includes seared tuna, sous vide striploin, and tiramisu. Then join them on Zoom for a virtual dinner and drink experience (Feb 14, from 7:30 pm–10 pm).
3) Northern Chicken’s Valentine’s Date Night Dinner
Order deadline: available to order till end of business day on Feb 14
Details: The Date Night Dinner includes 4 pieces of chicken, two small sides, either 1 alcoholic or 2 non-alcoholic beverages, and a Chili Hot Chocolate Brownie. Also comes with a tote bag!
4) El Beso’s Valentine’s Day Dinners
Menu available: Feb 14 (pre-orders open now)
Details: Their Valentine’s Day 3-Course Dinner for 2 includes Guacamole & Chips, a Heart-Shaped Taco Platter (with 15 tacos!), and Tres Leche Cake. You can also order the Heart-Shaped Taco Platter separately, and add on tasty extras like one of their pre-batched cocktails or cocktail kits.
5) Shōjō Izakaya’s Valentine’s Day Dinners
Order deadline: Feb 12
Pickup: Feb 14 only (5–8 pm)
Details: The 4-course meals (for either 2 people or 1 person) include Crunchy Japanese Slaw, choice of appetizer, choice of entree, and Asian Pear Trifle for dessert. Drinks, cocktail kits, and add-on appetizers also available!
6) Sawmill’s Date Night Gourmet Romance Dinner
Order deadline: Feb 8 (OR when sold out, whichever comes first)
Details: Choose an option for each course to create your own feast, with options like Jumbo Shrimp Martini, Chicken Valentino stuffed with mozzarella, and Warm Chocolate Lava Cake.
7) Workshop Eatery’s Valentine’s Day Packages
Order deadline: Feb 8 by 5 pm
Pickup: Feb 12-14. Choose date/time online when ordering.
Details: Various Romantic Meal Packages to choose from. Cheese fondue, chocolate fondue, or a full three-course meal for two. Plus wine or cocktail kits you can add on—including new glassware.
8) L2 Grill’s Valentine’s Menu
Menu available: Feb 14
Details: This 4-course meal includes a choice of roasted chicken, pan-roasted salmon, sous-vide short ribs, or wild mushroom risotto (vegan).
9) Biera’s Valentine’s Boxes
Order deadline: Pre-orders open now, with limited availability
Pickup/delivery: Feb 13–14
Details: Build your own Valentine’s date night experience. The Valentine’s Biera Box features a selection of treats from Biera and Blind Enthusiasm, including artisan cheeses, sourdough focaccia, and Black Forest Cake Verrine. The Ultimate Valentine’s Biera Box includes flowers, a special Valentine’s Scent candle, sparkling wine, assorted cheeses and charcuterie, dessert, and more. Chocolate and cocktail add-ons available. For every Biera Box sold, $20 will be donated to Operation Friendship, an organization serving Edmonton’s inner city seniors.
10) Butternut Tree’s Valentines Dinner for Two
Pickup: Feb 13
Details: This 5-course menu includes simple instructions to complete cooking and plating dishes. Menu includes scallops, gnocchi, Hazelnut-Dandelion Root Coffee Mouse Cake, and more. Cheese & charcuterie and wine add-ons also available.
11) Mikado’s Valentine’s Day Set Menu
Menu available: Feb 13-15
Details: This special Valentine’s menu is available for take-out only. The 4-course menu includes miso soup, various sashimi and rolls, and house-made mousse. You can also add a bottle of sake to your order!
