1) Gotta Minute Film Festival Awards Celebration | Sept. 17
Celebrate the best short films from Alberta and around the world with this awards ceremony at Root 107 Park! Enjoy live music and food trucks on site. Attendees require masks and proof of full vaccination. Winners will also be announced live in the Film and Video Arts Society Instagram page.
2) Flavours of 124 Street | Sept. 17–18
Whether you’re ordering takeout, eating indoors (with proof of vaccination), or patio dining, enjoy some of 124 Street’s best restaurants with this special event! Order designated Flavours meals for the chance to win amazing prizes, all while supporting local business—it’s a win-win!
3) Open Streets | Sept. 18
Walk, dance, and roll through the Open Streets of downtown Edmonton with this festival promoting human-centred cities. Planned activities include a bike parade, pop-up dance classes, and more! Attendees require masks and proof of full vaccination.
4) ACUA Fall Harvest Market | Sept. 18
The ACUA Fall Market has moved outside! Enjoy artisan goods, art, and delicious food to take home or eat on the patio. Masks will be required, and the ACUA boutique will be operating at reduced capacity.
5) Latitude 53 Presents Ancestral Sounds | Sept. 19
Celebrate the closing reception of Mamanaw Pekiskwewina | Mother Tongues: amiskwacîwâskahikan with an evening of story and song celebrating the rich heritage of amiskwacîwâskahikan’s ancestral languages. Masks are strongly encouraged and capacity is limited to 200 attendees.
6) The Garneau Block | Starts Sept. 18
How well do you really know your neighbours? That’s the question at the heart of The Garneau Block, the Citadel Theatre’s latest live production, based on the novel by Todd Babiak. Attendees require masks and proof of full vaccination.
7) Edmonton Heartbeat Run | Sept. 19
Walk or run in support of the Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute with this run, taking place at Hawrelak Park. Enjoy beautiful fall views while supporting a great cause. Attendees require proof of full vaccination or negative COVID test results from within 72 hours of the event.
