The journey of brain injury doesn’t end when you leave the hospital. Rather it is just the beginning…

Brain Care Centre is a not-for-profit organization located in Edmonton, Alberta that exists to help individuals impacted by brain injury to overcome limitations, rebuild and thrive in the community.

NAIT’s Bachelor of Technology program and videographer Matt Watterworth have joined together to create a short documentary film about the work of this invaluable, but relatively unknown, local organization and the journeys of four individuals adapting to and living with a brain injury.

The documentary will also highlight staff experiences when working with this population and the ways in which Brain Care Centre is expanding services in the coming year. The documentary is intended to raise awareness about acquired brain injury, Brain Care Centre, and the barriers people might face when their life has dramatically changed.

A champagne reception with light appetizers will open the evening, with an exclusive viewing of the documentary to follow.
