Home Economics: 150 Years of Canadian Hooked Rugs

This is a travelling exhibition from the Textile Museum of Canada. It comprises of historical and contemporary hooked rugs curated from public and private collections, which explore the unique history of the North American folk art tradition. The exhibition represents generations of artisanal entrepreneurship, women’s domestic and collective work, as well as rural development in Canada.
