Alberta Ballet is pleased to invite Complexions Contemporary Ballet to its 2022/23 season.
The company is celebrated for its innovation in using dance to remove boundaries, not
reinforce them, and represents one of the most recognized, diverse, inclusive and respected performing arts brands in the world.

WOKE, which Complexions premiered in 2019, is a physical reaction to daily news. Set to music by Kendrick Lamar, Logic, Drake, Duplo and others, this production is a bold and dynamic socially conscious one-act ballet featuring the full company that examines our humanity in conjunction with today’s political climate.

The second act, LOVE ROCKS, is set to the music of Grammy Award-winner Lenny Kravitz.
