The Colonialism-Depression Link: A Talk with Alicia Elliott

Reading from her award-winning book, A Mind Spread Out on the Ground, Alicia Elliott will discuss the ways that colonialism has impacted Indigenous mental health to this day, and ways that cultural and linguistic resurgence can help.

This event is part of the international conference, “The Poetics and Ethics of ‘Learning With’: Indigenous, Canadian, and Québécois Feminist Production Today”, organized by Amanda Fayant (Researcher/Artist, Treaty 4, Canada, based in Trondheim), Libe García Zarranz (NTNU, Norway), Marie Carrière (University of Alberta, Canada) and Dominique Hétu (Brandon University, Canada).
