January 29 - February 8
Set amid the hysteria of the Salem witch trials in Puritan New England, Arthur Miller’s 1952 play is considered by many to be an allegory for the anti-communist campaigns led by U.S. Senator Joseph McCarthy. The production won the 1953 Tony Award for Best Play and is regarded as a central work in the canon of American drama. The Crucible is one of three productions in the 2019/20 MacEwan University Theatre Season.
