The Mask

Mamdouh ‘Udwan was a Syrian poet, playwright, novelist, translator, and journalist who contributed significantly to the intellectual and cultural life of Syria during his lifetime. The Mask is one of his only plays translated into English and performed outside of Syria.

The Mask is about a battle between a burglar and the woman whose home he invades, and the surprises both adversaries uncover.
