The Eva O. Howard Theatre at Victoria School will be warming up hearts this December as they present their 35th musical theatre production, Legally Blonde.

Most of us are familiar with the popular 2001 movie of the same name, but did you know that Legally Blonde the Musical hit the Broadway stage in 2007? This musical follows the transformation of Elle Woods as she tackles stereotypes and scandal in pursuit of her dreams. Filled with memorable songs and dynamic dances – this musical is so much fun, it should be illegal!

The cast of 30 students has been rehearsing most evenings and weekends since early October, with a crew of 14 planning every aspect of the show. The show is produced as any professional show would be, with students and the tech crew applying what they’ve learned in class to bring it all together on stage. Participation counts as a for-credit course, the entire process being assessed as much as the final performance.
