Why is Free Expression so Controversial? Explaining the Law and Politics of a Fundamental Freedom will focus on one of the Charter’s “fundamental freedoms:” freedom of expression in section 2(b). Dax D’Orazio (PhD, Skelton-Clark Post Doctoral Fellow, Queen’s University) will explain how and why freedom of expression has become such a contentious topic and focus on some important legal cases that have impacted free expression in Canada.
