Rocky Mountain House National Historic Site

Walk along the Chimney and David Thompson interpretive trails where you’ll encounter Aboriginal encampments and the remains of four historic Hudson’s Bay trading posts. Stop at the Exhibit Gallery to view original artifacts from the forts, a replica trade room where you can try on period costumes, interactive exhibits, and workshops. It’s also a beautiful setting to enjoy biking camping, and canoeing. Located 6 km west of Rocky Mountain House on Highway 11A. Free admission for 2017. May 10 - Sep: Mon - Fri 10 am to 5 pm; Sep 4-30: Thu - Sun 10 am - 5 pm; Closed Oct 1 - Dec 31.
