Throughout December, you can expect the traditional elements of the Luminaria you love—candlelight, starlight, peace, and tranquility. And you can expect to be dazzled by what’s new, the spirit of Luminaria living on in a transformed experience.

Enjoy an evening stroll along the Garden paths, among candles and illuminated displays. Local artists—including musicians, performers, and visual artists—will elevate the experience with creative programming.

Luminaria is an outdoor, night-time, all-weather event, with safe physical distancing guidelines in place. Enjoy the snowy illuminated pathways, sip some cider by a bonfire, and revel in the beauty of winter.

New for 2020

• This year, for the first time, Luminaria is extending through the entire month of December. Various time slots are available nightly starting December 1, and only a limited number of tickets will be available. This event routinely sells out early!

• The Northern Light Dining Experience includes a three-course gourmet fondue served in one of the Garden’s unique, private, charmingly decorated indoor spaces. NOTE: Initial tickets for this extra experience are sold out, but Luminaria is working on adding capacity. You can sign up online to get notified when more Northern Light Dining Experience spaces become available.
